GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper Peptide Complex)

Known more simply as copper peptide, this tri-peptide helps repair skin, reduce inflammation, and soften lines and crepey areas. At the right concentration it is well tolerated, even by sensitive skin.

Peptides have become a beauty-industry fixation, but their roles in skin-firming vary widely. Many have little proven benefit, yet copper peptide stands out as a signalling peptide: it sends messages to new skin cells, promoting the synthesis of collagen, elastin, proteoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans that keep skin firm, smooth, and elastic.

Concentration matters. Small doses are markedly less effective, while optimum levels strengthen the skin’s structure and resilience. Firmness also depends on good hydration, supplied here by glycosaminoglycans such as hyaluronic acid, which help maintain moisture balance.

Healthy skin relies on an active population of stem cells, which decline with age. Copper peptides stimulate keratinocyte proliferation and improve fibroblast function, both vital for connective-tissue repair and regeneration in damaged or inflamed skin.

Copper peptides are strong stimulators of collagen synthesis and have shown comparable or greater in-vitro activity than retinoic acid or ascorbic acid. In clinical use, however, the best outcomes arise when they are combined with these actives, as their effects are complementary rather than competitive.

This serum also provides a full spectrum of B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9) and vitamin E, offering antioxidant protection and supporting density in thinning skin. Extracts of  green tea supply polyphenols, including EGCG, which help maintain the lipid–water balance and reduce puffiness, irritation, and inflammation.

Directions for use:
Apply once or twice daily to cleansed skin, morning and/or evening, using fingertips and gentle upward circular motions from neck to forehead. Allow 2–5 minutes for absorption before applying another serum, elixir, or moisturiser. When layering serums, use this after all serums, except the Lightening serum.
Store below 10 °C to maintain potency.

One of the best serums I've ever used!

I have a few Scents of Man serums, but this is definitely one of my favourites. It's very hydrating, but not too oily (even on my oily skin!). It firms the skin almost instantly, but you notice the biggest change after using it for a few weeks.

Very good

This is a very good serum. I love the smell too. I had some dry areas at the side of my nose and little patches on my forehead too, both these have gone. I use the borage hydrosol too and it settles my sensitive skin. My skin really does look and feel better..
