GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper Peptide Complex)

This absorbs quickly, layers well beneath moisturiser or sunscreen and is suitable for daily use on all skin types.

Known more simply as copper peptide, this tri-peptide helps repair skin, reduce inflammation, and soften lines and crepey areas. At the right concentration it is well tolerated, even by sensitive skin. It is combined with skin-identical ceramides (NP, AP and EOP) to support the skin barrier and improve elasticity over time. Panthenol and bisabolol are soothing, while meadowfoam seed oil, rosehip seed oil and lightweight emollients replenish the surface without leaving a heavy or greasy finish.

Firm, healthy skin  also depends on good hydration. Borage flower hydrosol is the base here, holding a whole spectrum of humectants - including betaine, sodium PCA, glycerin, ectoin, urea and two molecular weights of hyaluronic acid. These attract and retain moisture, making skin feel more supple. The hydration is not an instant plumping effect, this combination, continues be effective all day.

Peptides have become a beauty-industry fixation, but their roles in skin-firming vary widely. Many have little proven benefit, yet copper peptide stands out as a signalling peptide: these send messages to new skin cells, promoting the synthesis of collagen, elastin, proteoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans that keep skin firm, smooth, and elastic.

Concentration matters. Small doses are markedly less effective, while optimum levels strengthen the skin’s structure and resilience.

Healthy skin relies on an active population of stem cells which decline with age. Copper peptides stimulate keratinocytes proliferation and improve fibroblast function. Both are vital for connective-tissue repair and regeneration in damaged or inflamed skin. The concentration of naturally occurring moisturising factors and barrier lipids also declines. We select ingredients found naturally in healthy skin, to help restore hydration, skin barrier-function and improve firmness. This effect increases with use.

Rather than providing temporary plumping, the serum formulation is designed to improve the skin’s moisture balance and barrier function. With improved hydration and a healthier barrier, skin can function better to retain moisture, feel firmer and it becomes more resilient with continued use.

Directions for use:
Apply once or twice daily to cleansed skin, morning and/or evening, using fingertips and gentle upward circular motions from neck to forehead. Allow 2–5 minutes for absorption before applying another serum, elixir, or moisturiser. When layering serums, use this after all serums, except the Lightening serum.
Store below 10 °C to maintain potency.
