Thorough Care for Hair
Our shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and serum all work to improve the condition of damaged and thinning hair.
The Enriching Shampoo is made for hair that is porous, colour/heat damaged and dry. The formulation is restorative and moisturising, without weighing down hair.
It is SLS and SLES-free, formulated for sensitive skin and scalps.
The Rose Enriching Shampoo
What is in the bottle and Why is it there?
We use our local Rose, Lavender and Rosemary hydrosols, slow distilled, instead of plain water, for their phytonutrients. We pair these with highly effective ingredients. Just like our skincare, we pack a lot into one bottle of shampoo!
Colloidal Oats – Calms inflammation and supports barrier repair and irritated scalps.
Gosulin – A plant-derived conditioning agent that adds softness.
Green Tea Extract– Rich in antioxidants, it protects follicles from oxidative stress and can reduce shedding.
Hydrolysed Keratin – Repairs damage by improving the strength and smoothness of the hair shaft.
Inutec/Inulin –is a prebiotic humectant that helps supports a healthy scalp microbiome.
Panthenol - is able to penetrate the hair shaft, so can improve moisture retention and elasticity.
Pectin Powder – A plant-derived gel structure that helps panthenol retain moisture.
Our low-foam, SLS and SLES-free formula gently cleanses without drying hair (the more foam and bubbles, the more detergent, as so the dryer hair will be.
The 3 conditioners works with the shampoo to intensify the effects on hair thinning and dryness. We add ingredients to each that are effective against several of the commonest reasons for hair to shed.
Hair Growth and Hair Fall - It’s Complicated…
Hair grows in a cycle consisting of three main phases: anagen (active growth, lasting several years), catagen (a brief transitional phase), and telogen (a resting phase), after this hair sheds.
On a healthy scalp, most hairs are in anagen.
If the reason is unknown, intervention may be ineffective.
Hair fall can result from various causes— from hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, to illness or genetic predisposition. As these factors can affect the hair cycle differently, identifying the cause is crucial: an iron deficiency may shift hair prematurely into telogen phase, whereas androgenic alopecia is the gradual shrinking of the follicle.

1. Rose Enriching Conditioner
This adds detangling and anti-static properties, leaving hair manageable, silky-smooth and smelling of natural rose. The conditioning is thorough, but still lightweight.
It also contains:
An anti-static agent - smooths the hair cuticle and reduces flyaways.
Argan oil - lightweight and nutrient-rich oil antioxidant; helps to restore moisture and improve elasticity.
Castor Oil – A thick, nourishing oil rich in ricinoleic acid, helping to moisturise and protect hair.
Conditioning agents - a high-performance conditioning system that softens without buildup; ideal for fine or thinning hair.
Fatty alcohols- reduce frizz, adds structure and a smooth, velvety texture.
Grapeseed Oil – A light, antioxidant-rich oil that smooths hair without heaviness.
Mango Butter – A rich emollient that provides deep moisture and seals the cuticle for lasting hydration.
Sage extract -mildly anti-androgenic and antimicrobial; helps reduce excess oil.
Urea – A natural humectant that softens hair and helps retain moisture, especially in dry, brittle strands.
Zinc Oxide – Soothes irritation, mildly antimicrobial, and supports healthy sebum balance on the scalp.
Sandalore – Stimulates hair growth by activating specific olfactory receptors (OR2AT4) in hair follicles.
Soy Lecithin – A natural phospholipid that improves emulsion stability and supports barrier function on the scalp.
Useful Terms Often Used in Hair Loss Descriptions
Anagen induction - stimulating the start of the hair’s growth phase.
Angiogenesis -forming new blood vessels, which can improve blood flow and nutrient delivery to hair follicle.
Anti-androgenic - blocking male hormones, (androgens) these can shrink hair follicles.
DHT inhibition - reducing dihydrotestosterone, a hormone linked to hair loss.
DHT inhibition often involves 5-alpha-reductase inhibition - blocking the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT.
5α-reductase- a scalp enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In people sensitive to DHT, this process can shrink hair follicles, leading to thinning hair—especially in androgenic alopecia. Blocking the activity of 5α-reductase slows or prevent this type of hair loss.

2. The Intensive Hair Conditioning Mask -for tired hair.
This provides long-lasting, deep conditioning, thorough, but still lightweight. For damaged or thinning hair, this can be used three times a week. Left on for an hour, it is a once-a-week treat that won’t leave hair greasy. The majority of the ingredients have a synergistic effect on one another.
It also contains:
Green Tea Extract -with EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate) Anti-inflammatory, anti-androgenic.
Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) - Anti-inflammatory, pro-collagen and promotes angiogenesis.
Ceramides-lipid molecules naturally found in the hair cuticle; they reinforce the hair’s protective layer, reduce moisture loss, and improve strength and smoothness.
Hydrolysed Keratin - reinforces weak hair shafts, reduces breakage-induced thinning.
Lactic Acid - smoothes the hair cuticle, enhances moisture retention, and supports scalp renewal without disrupting the skin barrier.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) - Improves scalp barrier function, reduces micro-inflammation and modulates sebum.
Panthenol (Provitamin B5)- a scalp humectant, cuticle protector, anti-inflammatory.
Sodium PCA / Lactic Acid - Help maintain hydration, especially in porous and thinning hair.
Rosemary extract -Proven anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, mild DHT-inhibition.
(Clinically this has comparable efficacy to Minoxidil over long-term use (J Ethnopharmacol, 2015.))
Sage extract - diterpenes with phytoestrogenic and anti-inflammatory activity, with 5α-reductase inhibition.
Sandalore ( sandalwood odourant) - mechanistically activates olfactory receptor OR2AT4 promoting keratinocyte proliferation and anagen induction. Demonstrated ability to extend hair growth phase in ex vivo follicle studies (J Invest Dermatol, 2018). It is highly synergistic with niacinamide and peptides in hair follicle signalling.
Zinc PCA - Seboregulator and antimicrobial with mild DHT-inhibiting effect.
3. Hair Serum
This contains
A-tocopherol - works synergistically with CoQ-10 to reduce lipid peroxidation in sebaceous glands and follicular epithelium.
Amla extract - follicular support.
Azelaic acid - anti-inflammatory agent.
Chamomile extract - soothing and softening, antioxidant.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) - enhances energy production in dermal papilla cells, potentially prolonging the anagen (growth) phase.
Ferulic acid - antioxidant
Niacinamide - barrier-repair agent.
Panthenol - barrier-repair, hair moisturising.
Peppermint Hydrosol and extract: both vasostimulants.
Vitamin C (SAP) - antioxidant and barrier-repair agent.
4. Porous Hair Repair Serum (coming August 2025)
