Dhoon Glen Pure Perfume (for EdP, see separate listing) Released July 2021
Named after the 'Waterfall Glen' where daffodils and bluebells mingle happily with the other wild-flowers and gorse. The arresting, immediate scent is of wild-strawberries, inspired by finding them growing happily there. This glen also has an unusual white oak which is vanilla scented. So the wild strawberry is wrapped up in a long vanilla note and these interact well. As the scent develops, hyacinth, rose, jasmine and narcissus wake up and blend with some background woody notes. The vanilla stays present throughout and the strawberry is perked up a little with a touch of blackcurrant and raspberry. After a few hours, the base notes of cinnamon, pimento and black tea fill out and leave a sweet, soft finish.
This has a good longevity and suits most skin types, but really works well on skin that has some vanilla/warm apple tones naturally. It is sweeter than some of our more woody scents and keeps it's 'shape' from day into night.
